TENTATIVE SCHEDULE
Step back in time in the historic Umbrian countryside. Many Italians refer to Umbria as a toned down version of Tuscany, with quality farm-fresh food, less tourists, and wonderful people.
You will have the opportunity to visit some noteworthy towns like Siena, Montepulciano, Perugia, and Assisi.
We have worked diligently on putting together a memorable trip for our family and friends that are joining us in Umbria. These are all completely voluntary - there is no obligation to attend any or all of the activities. If you are interested, simply select the RSVP button beneath each activity to add your name to the list. Kalia will reach out to you to chat logistics.
Monday, September 6th
Morning: Meet at NH Collection Firenze Porta Rossa in Florence by 8:00 am. Transportation will be provided from this location for whoever would like a ride and go on a full-day tour. For those driving separately, keep in mind that it is a two-hour drive from Florence city center.
10:00 am: Arrive in Siena for a tour, sightseeing, small bites, and shopping
12:00 pm: Head to the Montepulciano region for wine tasting
2:00 pm: Special surprise! Head to Puscina Flowers to put together a flower bouquet for your room, learn about their organic farming, and enjoy a small snack.
4:00 pm: Head to a local farm to table restaurant and enjoy a country style Italian dinner
Night: Welcome guests to the venue and their villas, get settled, explore the grounds.
Tuesday, September 7th
Day before the wedding!
Morning: Morning breakfast provided by Borgo Bastia Creti for resort guests. If you are staying at a nearby Villa with friends and family, they will have breakfast snacks available as well.
Afternoon: Perugia adventure - take a bus and a tour to Perugia and learn about this beautiful medieval city. Use this time to shop, nibble, and get some exercise. For those who are not big on guided tours, dont worry! This isn't an embarrassing "follow the flag" large group tour. This is a private tour with people from our party. If you just want a ride to the town, that can be arranged as well.
Night: Wedding Rehearsal starts at 5:00 pm, with Rehearsal Dinner (open to all guests) at 7:00 pm at Borgo Bastia Creti
Wednesday, September 8th
Wedding Day!
Morning: Morning breakfast provided by Borgo Bastia Creti for guests. Spend the morning relaxing, enjoying the grounds and preparing for the day.
Afternoon: Bridal party will begin getting dressed at noon. Photos begin at 2:00 pm. Guests arrive at 4:15 and are greeted with an aperitif in the courtyard surrounding the large pond.
Night: Wedding begins at 5:30 pm.
Thursday, September 9th
Recovery day - spend the morning relaxing and join us for a group brunch, then head out for an adventure or stay on the grounds and take it easy.
Morning: Recovery brunch provided by Groom's family at 10:00am.
Afternoon: Head out to the Bagno Vignoni thermal baths for a day of relaxation and self-care. We may stop by a winery for some hair of the dog and a lunch if that sounds good to those coming.
Night: Cooking class night. Join in if you would like to partake, or make dinner at the Borgo.
Friday, September 10th
Adventure day!
Morning: Morning breakfast provided by Borgo Bastia Creti for resort guests. Enjoy some quiet time on the property before we set out for the day!
Afternoon: Explore nearby towns, historic caves and visit local craftsmen and artists.
Night: Last night with the group, free night to enjoy dinner in town nearby or on your own.
Saturday, September 11th
Arrivederci!
Morning: Breakfast provided by Borgo Bastia Creti.
Check out: At 11:00am, the bus will be departing at 11:15 to take all guests back to Florence city-center and Florence International Airport. Bride and Groom will leave Borgo Bastia Creti at 9am.
